A current article published in <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/journals.lww.com\/co-rheumatology\/Abstract\/2019\/05000\/Joints_for_joints__cannabinoids_in_the_treatment.9.aspx\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Current Opinion in Rheumatology. 31(3):271\u2013278, MAY 2019<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, summarized that CBD may be an effective treatment for rheumatoid arthritis if the product was targeting the right pain receptors.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A 2016 publication on the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">National Center for Biotechnology Information<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> website, concluded CBD was shown to reduce inflammation in joints in rats when added topically through the skin. The article concluded that the information provided by the test indicated that topical CBD application could potentially reduce pain related to inflammation causing arthritis pain. The summary went on to say that pain relief was achieved without any evident side-effects.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In a <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.forbes.com\/sites\/abbierosner\/2019\/04\/15\/new-study-suggests-cannabis-may-be-effective-for-rheumatoid-arthritis-and-why-it-may-not-matter\/#32c31f99561a\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">recent article<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> published on Forbes.com, Dr. Benjamin Caplan was interviewed by <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.forbes.com\/sites\/abbierosner\/#a63bec91e71e\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Abbie Rosner<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, where they discussed cannabis being a powerful anti-inflammatory agent. Dr Caplan mentioned that cannabis operated differently than anti-inflammatory medications because unlike over the counter and prescribed drugs, cannabis did not show signs of any severe side effects.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With all the advancements in CBD products and new research coming out each year, it is important to highlight that there is still more research that needs to be done to prove that CBD is an effective treatment for arthritis pain in humans.
