There is a new bill to be introduced to congress this May by Republican Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell. The bill (known as Tobacco 21) is meant to raise the legal age of purchasing tobacco products from 18 to 21.
So what exactly does this mean for you as a consumer? If you happen to be 21 or older, these new bills won’t be of any major concern to you. However, if you are under 21 this could certainly affect your ability to purchase vape products.
What do you think of a law like this? Is it successful at its intended goal of keeping tobacco products out of the hands of minors? Or is it hurting those who were previously of legal age by restricting their access to vaping as a means of trying to quit tobacco? We’re very interested in your insight on this!
